Life’s persistent and most urgent question is, what are you doing for others?” by Martin Luther King Jr.

We continue to advocate for Menstruation Health and Hygiene Management Across Kenya.

On Friday, October 17, 2022- My Flow Foundation Founder and managing director organizer, Phannie A. Kwegah alongside her team continued their menstrual health and hygiene management advocacy in Tieng’re Secondary school, Kisumu County.

Members of the foundation had honest and open conversations with the students, allowing them to ask questions and seek clarification. This in turn helped to inspire courage and confidence among them and a step forward to having healthy menstrual cycles.

After the conversations with the students, the foundation distributes to them a dignity care package. That consists of 3 sanitary towels, two pairs of pants, petroleum jelly, and booklets on menstrual health hygiene aimed at helping young girls.

The foundation which dates back to August 2020, advocates for girls’ empowerment through mentorship, education on menstrual health, hygiene management, and life- skills. The foundation has been able to touch lives across seven different counties so far (Nairobi, Kajiado, Meru, Kisumu, Kilifi, Homabay, Bomet, Kisumu, and Vihiga).

The program was founded on the basis of destigmatizing menstruation, breaking the cycle of silence and myths to inspire confidence and dignity in menstruation.

Any form of support and donations is greatly appreciated by the foundation, visit www.myflowfoundation.org for how to donate to us.
