Teen moms experience many physical, psychological, mental and social challenges when they fall pregnant and after delivery. There is social stigma, lack of emotional support, mental struggles, poor healthcare access, lack of financial support, and stresses around new life adjustments that bedevil them.
It then is pertinent that special attention and care support is made available to them by health care givers, the church and community at large.
We are extending support to them by partnering with health care providers and social workers who provide and share information on post-natal care, sexual and reproductive health, child care and nutrition.
We are also economically empowering them by pairing them with experts who offer them vocational/ basic skill training in tailoring and dress making, beauty and hairdressing, cookery etc.
We are hopeful that with partners and proper funding we can start and equip them with small businesses in line with the taught skillset that can fend and aid them and their children.
